Comments:

The draw used ball set 2 in the Galahad machine.
This was the 16th Super Draw and the jackpot pool was a guaranteed £1,000,000.
Five numbers (11,16,26,31 and 36) were all in a single playslip column (the first one), which has never happened before (even in the 526 main UK lottery draws to date !). A shame that the "missing" 21 (it was actually 20 !) would have ruined it for people who did 6 numbers in a continous column downwards starting from 11, because remember that the Extra only pays out if you match all 6 numbers.
The range (25=36-11) of the 6 numbers was the smallest of any of the draws to date.
Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 5th July 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
