Comments:
- The draw used the Stresa1 (main) and Paquerette3 (Lucky Star) machines and the average UK prize was £10.56.
- This was the 2nd Super Draw and the jackpot pool was a guaranteed 15,000,000 Euros (£10,111,500.00).
- At the time of the draw, tickets cost £1.50 each in the UK (2 Euros in non-UK countries) and one Euro was worth 67.41 pence.
This therefore meant that 15.18 pence of every UK ticket sold was added to the non-jackpot UK prize pool to compensate.
- The pan-European total prize pool was 14,099,001 Euros (£9,504,136) and the pan-European ticket sales were 28,198,002 Euros (£19,008,273).
- The official sites took 10 minutes (UK),
85 minutes (Spanish) and
120 minutes (French)
just to put up the winning numbers for this draw -
I did them live and exclusive on this Web site of course.
- Ticket sales across Europe dropped by a staggering 47% for this draw
compared to last week - UK sales have now actually dropped
to the equivalent of a week's worth of Extra draws !
- The low sales meant that the top UK prize won was less than the
£7,000 you can win with the dismal HotPicks game, which must
have Camelot somewhat panicky (and embarrassed) to say the least.
- The number of winners in each country were 57,227 (UK - 8.7%),
232,983 (Spain - 35.2%) and 370,535 (French - 56.1%). This is quite
interesting compared to the first draw - it's falls
for the UK and France (the latter almost half the winners of the previous
week), but shows a steep rise of 52% in the number of Spanish winners.
It now gives the impression that the sales ratio is 1 (UK) to 4 (Spain) to
6 (France), which suggests that the UK remains the only country where this game
just hasn't caught on at all yet.
