Comments:
- The draw used ball set T5 in the Excalibur 3 machine
- The average prize was £13.02.
One in every 17.3 tickets won a prize (=5.79% of players).
- The prior history of the jackpot ticket included 4 wins totalling £45.
- The 12th main number appearanxce of the number
16 keeps it at the outright top of the main
number frequency table, one ahead of the
25, which also appeared in this draw.

- The prior
winnings
of the jackpot ticket were not only an all-time record,
but it was the first time that a jackpot ticket had also

- Ticket sales showed the largest
percentage increase (32.5%) between weeks ever. This was because
Camelot gave away 1 million Thunderball tickets in a one-off
promotion this week (one in every 80 main lottery tickets won
a free Thunderball ticket).
- The number of 3-match winners
was the highest ever.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 9th November 2000 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
