• Thursday 28th April
  Bought two more tickets for Saturday's main Lotto single rollover draw, but actually did it online for the first time ever (Camelot have only just let Mozilla and Firefox users sign up to their online ticket purchasing system). Yes, I did print out the ticket onto (black and white) paper just to see what it looked like in the flesh :-)

• Wednesday 27th April
  Completed the move of this site to a faster HP-UX box - the Java chat server is now up and running, plus I've sorted out mirroring from the test to live server (was having to run a manual command to mirror until today - now it's done automatically when the pages update).

• Saturday 23rd April
  It might be St. George's Day (no, this is too early in the year to be a Bank Holiday cos we've got too many UK holidays crammed into the first half of the year and hardly any in the second half - why not Hallowe'en as a national holiday ?), but that didn't stop the server this site is running on slowing down almost to a halt (runaway processes, not fixed until Sunday) :-(

  We're planning to move a bunch of sites off the server in the next few weeks anyway, so I accelerated the move of this site onto a better box (more RAM, more disk, much faster CPU, but still HP-UX), though I didn't get any time to look at the chat room Java server, so there was no chat room discussion tonight (I still updated the site, but without talking about it...).

  Bought two more tickets for tomorrow's rollover main draw.
