Friday 20th April
Switched to a new ADSL 2+ ISP today and all went surprisingly smoothly, once I'd locked down the dubious WAN ports left open on the (leased) router shipped with the new service, disabled WAN pinging, removed 3 of the 4 undocumented users on the router, changed the (initially blank!) remaining user's password and activated the firewall on it (yep, it was shipped disabled). Syncing at 7.2Mbit/s, which is much better than the 2.3Mbit/s I was getting with my previous ISP's MaxDSL connection (and for £2 less a month!).
Friday 6th April
Bought two more tickets online for tomorrow's main Lotto rollover draw.
