Checking both the BBC Web site and Camelot's official site was an utter waste of time initially - no mention of the incident at all (Camelot's site was too busy trying to get people to claim some £1m prizes to bother mentioning the live cock-up). Camelot eventually released Thunderball and HotPicks (which at least had the 6 main Lotto numbers) at 10.20pm on their official site, followed by the main Lotto results at 10.40pm.
As I mentioned below, the free Lucky Dip ticket I won last Wednesday
now comes into play for next Wednesday's quadruple rollover draw, making it
the first time I've not had to pay for an additional ticket for a rollover draw.
Camelot are convservatively suggesting a £15.6m jackpot for next Wednesday
(only £2.5m higher than what's been rolled over), but that's still somewhat
short of the Wednesday individual jackpot prize record of
£20.1m set over 11 years ago.
Note that if next Wednesday's jackpot isn't won, we'll see
the first ever quintuple rollover draw the following Saturday.
Bought one additional ticket online for next Saturday's
main Lotto triple rollover draw, even though I won a free Lucky
Dip last night. This is because I've set the Lucky Dip to be
played on Wednesday draws, following the simple theory that less people
play Wednesday than Saturday, so I'm more likely to win the
jackpot on its own with Wednesday draws. If the jackpot isn't won on Saturday,
then I won't need to buy an additional ticket for next Wednesday's rollover draw
of course.
Bought one additional ticket online for next Wednesday's
main Lotto double rollover draw.
