Comments:

• The draw used ball set 6 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £20.59. One in every 45.8 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.18% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,861,055.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 9 wins totalling £90.
• Ticket sales fell yet again thanks to the Extra draw turning off players (and Extra ticket sales continued their fall too) - the main lottery sales were the worst for almost 11 months.
• I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing on my second, so Camelot certainly won't be sending me another cheque based on this poor performance.
• Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 28th May 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
