Comments:
- The draw used ball set 3 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £33.49.
One in every 63.1 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.59% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £4,614,870.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 11 wins totalling £223.
- The two most popular numbers,
38 (now on 97 appearances)
and 25 (has reached 86 appearances so far),
both turned up as
main numbers
in this draw. They also made their 113th and 103rd
appearances respectively at the top of the winning
number frequency
table.
- The 68th winning number appearance of the number
19 has left the number 13
seven adrift at the bottom of the appropriate frequency
table.
- Ticket sales were the lowest
ever for a Saturday single rollover draw.
- I matched absolutely nothing on each of my four tickets -
a quadruple whitewash if ever I saw one. What's totally sickening,
though, is that if I'd have bought six tickets using my rules for
every draw to date, this one would have been the first to
net a 4-match prize (my fifth ticket, which I'd only buy on a double
rollover).
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 7th February 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
