Comments:
- The draw used ball set 11 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.92.
One in every 55.4 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.80% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,976,061.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 18 wins totalling £180.
- Remarkably, the three most popular main numbers
(38, 25 and 44) all
appeared in this draw, making their 105th, 90th and
89th main number
appearances respectively.
The top two (38 and 25) in the winning number frequency
table also made
their 121st and 108th such appearances respectively.
- Five ticket combinations
have now won 32 prizes in the 617 lotteries to date.
- The main number pair 38, 46 has become only
the second such pair to have made 19
appearances since
the lottery began. It also extended its lead in the winning
number frequency table
to three after its 27th such appearance.
- I matched two numbers on my first ticket and nothing on my second,
so no surprise that £2 is blowing in the breeze tonight in my area.
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 20th May 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
