Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £17.54.
One in every 58.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.72% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £852,871.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included one win of £10.
- You just can't put down the number 28, which has now made its
18th appearance as one of the 7 numbers drawn, tying with the number 5
at the top of the table.
- The ticket
containing the numbers 4, 15, 16, 26, 28 and 49 has become only the second
one to manage ten wins
in the history of the lottery.
- This draw marked the first use of the Arthur machine for
28 weeks.
This is because the backup machine of the three is rotated occasionally
and Arthur had been the backup machine until recently.
- The
combined
sales have fallen for the 9th consecutive week, meaning that both
the scratchcards and
combined sales are now at their lowest level since the
first week the scratchcards were introduced.
- One match on my first ticket and none on my second as I continue my
losing streak which has now reached 12 consecutive draws.
- £812,434 of unclaimed prizes (3.90% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 26th September 1996 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
