Comments:

• The draw used ball set 5 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.03. One in every 53.5 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.87% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,188,640.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 12 wins totalling £120.
• The number 25 is now outright top of both the main and winning number tables after its 55th and 65th such appearances respectively.
• The first appearance of the number 30 for 27 draws has left the number 12 as the current longest main number absentee (not seen for 27 draws) and the numbers 4, 12 and 14 as the longest winning number absentees (none of them have appeared for 19 draws).
• I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing on my second to continue what's now become inevitable - a winless streak that goes right back to last August.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 23rd September 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
