Comments:

• The draw used ball set 1 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £24.90. One in every 55.4 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.80% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,199,753.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 11 wins totalling £256. This is the highest amount won in prior prizes by a jackpot ticket to date.
• The main number pair 01, 31 has now appeared 15 times since the lottery began, which is three more appearances than any other such pair. It is also now the outright leading winning number pair after its 17th such appearance.
• Two ticket combinations have now won 23 prizes in the 352 lotteries to date.
• A 5+bonus prize of £93,247 won by a ticket bought in the Gloucestershire area expired and was added to the Good Causes fund.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 4th November 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
