Comments:

• The draw used ball set 3 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £18.23. One in every 40.6 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.46% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,855,964.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 4 wins totalling £40.
• The 32nd appearance of the main number 39 has left the number 19 stranded on its own at the bottom of the main number frequency table. Exactly the same thing also happened with the winning number frequency table after the 35th appearance of the wining number 39.
• The bonus number 18 appeared for only the second ever, but it's still at the outright bottom of the bonus number frequency table !
• Ticket sales were the lowest for a draw in over 19 months.
• I matched two numbers on my first ticket and nothing on my second to continue my highly depressing sequence of failures.
• Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 1st November 1999 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
