Comments:
- The draw used ball set 5 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £31.69.
One in every 61.0 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.64% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £5,819,894.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 9 wins totalling £90.
- For only the second time ever (the first time being
way back in February 1997), there
were only two ball
colours
(blue and yellow) used across the seven winning balls.
- The 35th appearance of the main number 16
has left the numbers 19 and 39
two adrift at the bottom of the main number
frequency table.
Its 42nd winning number appearance has also left those same
two numbers now a massive six adrift at the basement of
the winning number frequency
table.
- The first appearance of the number 16
for 36 draws has handed over the longest absentee mantles
over to the main number 47 (not
appeared for
29 draws) and the winning number 20 (not
appeared for 18 draws).
- I matched one number on my first and fourth tickets,
but nothing on my second and third tickets, so no luck
rubbed off on me during this rollover, that's for sure.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 17th February 2000 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
