Comments:

• The draw used ball set 7 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £38.74. One in every 73.8 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.36% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,175,471.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 6 wins totalling £155.
• The main number 13 has joined the number 20 at the bottom of the main number frequency table after its 43rd such appearance. It's now also only three adrift from the number 39 at the winning number frequency table basement after appearing as one of the seven drawn balls for the 48th time.
• I had my 18th £10 win (via my second ticket) during the rollover draw, but one of the unusually high pari-mutuel prizes might have been nice. For the record, my first and fourth tickets matched one number and my third ticket matched nothing.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 18th January 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
