Comments:
- The draw used ball set 4 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £28.82.
One in every 64.1 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.56% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,929,698.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 6 wins totalling £60.
- The number 38 continues to steam ahead at the
top of the main
(79 appearances) and
winning
number (93 appearances) frequency tables, with
a lead of six over the rest in both tables.
- The 44th appearance of the main number 13
has left the number 20 stranded on its own at
the bottom of the main number frequency table, although the
number 13 still remains two adrift from the rest in
the winning number frequency table after its 50th such
appearance.
- The number 17 has now failed to
appear
for 54 consecutive draws as a winning number, which ties
it with the current all-time record holder and also puts it
in joint second in the main number absentee
list.
- I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing
on my second, so another strike-out for my £2 "investment".
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 26th February 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
