Comments:
- The draw used ball set 14 in the Vyvyan machine and the average main Lotto prize was £16.50.
One in every 53.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.86% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,523,790.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 12 wins totalling £120.
- The main number 25 closed the gap to the
frequency table
leader (the number 38) to 12. It is also now
11 behind the same number at the top of
the winning number frequency
table after
its 104th appearance as one of the seven drawn balls.
- This draw had the third lowest
ticket sales of all time.
- Amusingly on Wednesday night, Camelot didn't know the
exact jackpot amount that was rolled over (so I
reverse-calculated it from the prize tier formula) and
BBC/ITV teletext didn't have the exact figure either.
- I matched absolutely nothing on either of my two
tickets tonight, which was also the number of UEFA
soccer games played this evening.
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 11th March 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
