Comments:
- The draw used ball set 4 in the Vyvyan machine and the average main Lotto prize was £26.77.
One in every 59.5 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.68% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £7,033,454.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 9 wins totalling £90.
- The 95th appearance of the main number 44 has moved it to
within a dozen of the frequency
table leader (the number
38).
- Ticket sales for the 650 draws to date have
now exceeded £30 billion.
- The lottery show was amusingly "hijacked" by a screamer in the audience -
some woman insisted in yelling and screaming at every single applause point
in the show, eventually provoking both the host (Eamonn Holmes) and the
Voice of the Balls (Alan Dedicoat) to comment on her screams.
- I matched three numbers on my first ticket (netting me a prize - albeit
only £10 - for the first time this year) and one number on my second
ticket.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 12th September 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
