Comments:
- The draw used ball set 7 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £27.26.
One in every 60.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.65% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,203,145.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included no wins.
- This was the first time three of the main numbers drawn were numbered 6 or
less -
Lottery #5 was the previous record holder,
with three main numbers 9 or less. Surprisingly, this new record didn't seem to
increase the number of 3-match winners compared to previous draws.
- This also the first appearance of 1 and 49 in the same draw, which is the
widest possible range (48) of main numbers
of course.
- For the second consecutive week, non-rollover/Super Draw ticket
sales have hit an all-time high.
- The combination of lottery ticket (£64.1m) and instant scratchcard
(£40.7m) sales set a new weekly combined record of £104.8m.
Latest info on the first instant scratchcard game is that 32 of the 126
jackpot prizes have been claimed and over 100 million scratchcards have
already been sold.
- Not a solitary match for me as my winless run continues.
- £610,558 of unclaimed prizes (2.12% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 12th October 1995 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
