Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £27.26.
One in every 60.6 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.65% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,890,283.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 2 wins totalling £20.
- The numbers 23, 28 and 30 also appeared only
two lotteries ago, whilst the numbers 16, 28 and
46 made an appearance in
Lottery #27.
- The number 30 has now joined 4 others at the top of the main number
frequency table after its tenth
such appearance.
- This was the record 15th consecutive time that there were more than
one million lottery winners in a single draw.
- After missing the TV show, I was amazed to find upon my return from a
Dutch business trip that I'd actually
won £10 for the first time ! Maybe
an annual trip abroad is the key to success :-)
- £742,983 of unclaimed prizes (2.51% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 23rd May 1996 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
