Comments:
- The draw used ball set 2 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £31.01.
One in every 68.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.45% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £5,044,729.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 2 wins totalling £20.
- It's getting crowded at the top of the main number
frequency table as the number
16 joins five others with 10 appearances.
- There were under a million 3-match (and overall) winners, which last
happened
16 draws ago. This explains why the individual
jackpot prize exceeded £10m for the first time in
21 draws.
- The numbers 15, 26 and 46 appeared in
Lottery #30, whilst another 3-match (15, 16 and
46) cropped up in
Lottery #27.
- Despite the worst
ticket sales for 12 weeks,
that low number of 3-match winners allowed this draw to set
a new record for the size of an individual jackpot prize during a
non-rollover/Super Draw week, which had previously remained unbeaten
for 43 draws.
- After last week's win, it's not surprising
that I've returned to my losing ways with only a single match this week.
- £593,315 of unclaimed prizes (2.02% of the total prize pool) from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 30th May 1996 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
