Comments:

• The draw used ball set 6 in the Vyvyan machine and the average main Lotto prize was £32.53. One in every 63.2 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.58% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,299,333.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 3 wins totalling £30.
• The 52nd appearance of the main number 39 has left the numbers 13 and 20 four adrift at the basement of the main number frequency table. Its 56th winning number appearance also widened the gap to the rarest winning number (13) to two.
• Ticket sales were the worst ever for a weekend rollover draw.
• This was the first time that four consecutive Saturday draws had the same number (2) of jackpot winners.
• Camelot incorrectly calculated the individual jackpot prize (their figure is £1 too high) - here's the calculations:

  As usual (and wrongly) for a rollover, Camelot have rounded up instead of down in the final line of the calculation, despite the rulebooks specifically stating it should be rounded down. This is the 10th draw where Camelot have made this £1 rounding error.

• I matched one number on my second ticket and nothing on my three other tickets, so no Christmas bonus for me then.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 14th June 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
