Comments:
- The draw used ball set 6 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.80.
One in every 50.8 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.97% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,242,211.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 13 wins totalling £130.
- Camelot introduced a new playslip and ticket design
on Monday 13th May, so this was the first draw where they could be used.
The new playslip and ticket designs both mentioned
the new "Lotto" name for the main draw, despite the fact that it officially
changes its name on Saturday 18th May. BTW, the new playslip design is
a disaster - 4 rows of 12 and a 5th row containing just the number 49
(confusingly, the rest of that 5th row contains Lucky Dip/Extra info that
almost "hides" the number 49). I bet poor old number 49 suddenly
becomes very unpopular indeed...
- I matched nothing on my first ticket and only one number
on my second ticket, so the fact that I'm not using the new playslips
(I have an annual subscription) didn't make any difference to
my poor luck in recent weeks.
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 11th November 2002 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
Next Lotto: #668 (Saturday 18th May 2002) [4 jackpot winners]
