Comments:
- The draw used ball set T5 in the Excalibur 1 machine
- The average prize was £ 8.26.
One in every 17.5 tickets won a prize (=5.72% of players).
- The prior history of the jackpot ticket included 11 wins totalling £80.
- For the first time ever, the BBC refused to air the Thunderball draw
live and showed a 9-second still caption (which included the Extra numbers
as well) of the sorted numbers instead. Shame on them !
- The number 25 stretched its lead to six at the top of
the main number frequency
table after its 43rd such
appearance.
- Meanwhile, the 19th main number appearance of the number
34 still left it two adrift of the rest
at the bottom of the same table and three adrift of the rest at the foot
of the winning number frequency
table.
- Two main number pairs have now appeared
nine times since the Thunderball game began.
- Ticket sales rose to their highest level
yet for a midweek Thunderball draw.
- This was the first time ever that six
consecutive midweek draws hadn't resulted in any jackpot
winners.
- The numbers of 3-match, 2+Thunderball, 1+Thunderball and total
winners were the highest of any midweek Thunderball draw to date.
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Sunday 22nd June 2003 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
