Comments:
- The draw used ball set 7 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £21.96.
One in every 48.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.05% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,671,652.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 2 wins totalling £20.
- With the 13th main number
appearance of the number
21, there are now five numbers tied at the basement
of that appearance table.
- The winning number 18 has now failed to
appear in 32 consecutive draws,
which is the outright third longest
gap between appearances.
- Although ticket sales recovered compared
to last Wednesday, they were still the third worst ever.
- Possibly because of tight time constraints (the show was sandwiched
in the middle of the European Cup Winners' Final), the boy band
Damage, who were scheduled to appear on the
TV show to sing a cover of Eric Clapton's
Wonderful Tonight, failed to show up !
- I failed to match a number on my first ticket and only matched one
number on my second, which is completely unsurprising considering my recent
fruitless run.
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 10th November 1997 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
