Comments:

• The draw used ball set 4 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.02. One in every 48.9 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=2.04% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £7,585,398.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 10 wins totalling £100.
• The first appearance of the main number 47 for 31 draws means that the current longest main number absentee is now the number 10 (not appeared for 23 draws).
• All five ball colours have now appeared at least 500 times as winning numbers since the lottery began.
• I won £10 for the second time in 17 draws as my second ticket matched three numbers and rounded my total winnings nicely to £150. Sadly, my first ticket failed to match any numbers at all.
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 24th February 2000 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
