Comments:

• The draw used ball set 2 in the Lancelot machine and the average main Lotto prize was £27.62. One in every 61.4 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.63% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,838,115.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 7 wins totalling £153.
• Two ticket combinations have now won 25 prizes since the lottery began.
• I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing on my second ticket, so no fireworks tonight for me (well, OK, Bonfire Night was yesterday, but people were still letting off fireworks tonight !).
• Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm BST on Thursday 4th May 2000 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
