• The draw used ball set 7 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.76. One in every 50.6 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.98% of players).
• If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £9,805,692.
• The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 10 wins totalling £127.
• This draw marked the start of my 7th subscription period, which - very annoyingly - Camelot would only allow me to renew for 6 months (because they hadn't won the lottery licence renewal at the time).
• I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing on my second ticket, so luck passed me by yet again.
• Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm BST on Monday 20th August 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
