Comments:
- The draw used ball set 14 in the Vyvyan machine and the average main Lotto prize was £31.15.
One in every 69.3 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.44% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £6,968,418.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 12 wins totalling £120.
- The number 38 has extended its lead for 8 at the top of
the main number frequency

after its 91st such appearance. It also has

- The number 13 is now 5 adrift at the basement of the

- Thanks to the £20m Extra Super Draw (which "forces" people to buy
a main lottery ticket with each Extra ticket), ticket sales were the highest
for a normal draw for almost a year.
- I matched nothing on my first ticket, but finally managed my first
win of the new millennium with my second ticket (it matched 3 and won me
£10).
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 8th November 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
