Comments:
- The draw used ball set 12 in the Guinevere machine and the average main Lotto prize was £22.66.
One in every 50.4 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.98% of players).
- If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £10,524,312.
- The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included 14 wins totalling £288.
- The 84th main number
appearance
of the number 23 has moved it to within 8 of
the table leader (the number 38).
- Ticket sales continued to disastrously
freefall and hit their lowest ever level in the history of the lottery
with this draw.
- There have now been over 2,000 jackpot-winning tickets and over 500 million
prize-winning tickets across all 567 lottery draws to date. The latter was
incorrectly mentioned in last Saturday's lottery TV show
(it "celebrated" it one draw too early !).
- I matched one number on my first ticket and nothing on my
second ticket, so I didn't add to the 500m winners to date...
- Unclaimed prizes from this draw expired at 11.00pm GMT on Monday 26th November 2001 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
