The draw used ball set 7 in the Arthur machine and the average main Lotto prize was £27.26. One in every 60.7 main Lotto tickets won a prize (=1.65% of players).

If all 13,983,816 ticket combinations were additionally purchased for the main Lotto game, they would have made a loss of £8,203,145.

The prior history of the main Lotto jackpot ticket included no wins.

This was the first time three of the main numbers drawn were numbered 6 or less - Lottery #5 was the previous record holder, with three main numbers 9 or less. Surprisingly, this new record didn't seem to increase the number of 3-match winners compared to previous draws.
