Comments:
- The draw used ball set T4 in the Excalibur 1 machine
- The average prize was £ 8.42.
One in every 14.9 tickets won a prize (=6.71% of players).
- The prior history of the jackpot ticket included no wins.
- Nine numbers are now tying on three appearances each at the
top of the main number frequency
table.
- The number 7 has joined the number 3
at the top of the winning number frequency
table after
appearing as such for the fourth time.
- The number 7 has also become the first number to
appear
three times as a Thunderball number since the Thunderball
lottery began.
- There are now seven main number pairs that have
appeared
twice in the history of the Thunderball lottery.
- When sorted in ascending order, the second (27)
and third (30) lowest main numbers were the outright
highest of any draw to date.
- The first ever Thunderball main number
triple (30, 31, 32)
also marked the first time that
three main numbers have appeared in the same playslip
row (the fifth row).
- This draw had the lowest number of 4-match
winners ever.
- Ticket sales dropped by
over £150,000 to yet another all-time record low.
- Unclaimed prizes from this week expired at 11.00pm GMT on Thursday 24th February 2000 and have been added to the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
